WHAT IS GLASSTICKER?
The new GLASSTICKER is an adhesive plastic profile that allows to build glassblock walls in a record time. The time saving achieved by using GLKASSTICKER is higher than 60%.
It is supplied in two different lengths:
The first of them is 2 meter. It can be cut with a saw and it is placed horizontally as a basis for every tile row. The second measure is 18 cm. This piece has been conceived to be stick glassblocks together laterally.
HOW IS IT USED?
In the first place, verify the verticality and horizontality of the wall and ground that will support the glassblock .
These vertical and horizontal surfaces must be clean of dust or similar to achieve a good adherence. The first GLASSTICKER bars must be screwed for a full safe laying.
At this point glassblocks are successively laid on the first GLASSTICKER bar after peeling off the protective tapes. As it has been said the 18 cm. profiles are used to separate the pieces vertically. Once a row is laid you just have to stick the next horizontal horizontal bar onto by just peeling of its protective tapes and pressing. Once sticked, between them the cohesion of the whole set is very high thanks to the first quality adhesive tape used, which resists any type of humidity.
Repeat this operation until the wall is completed. It is recommended to verify the stability of the already built part as well as the horizontality of each new row.
Lasdt step is the grouting of the glassblock wall, which can be done using the regular mortar.
The GLASSTICKER profile has a side groove which allows the mortar penetration in order to achieve a better grip.
The safety in the use of this profile has been measured and tested by official certification bodies, having shown an equivalent or superior resistance to impacts to the other existing installation systems for glassblocks.
Respect always the safety measures for this type of works established by laws and use the protection means needed.
